All Fleurs Anouk designs are season-led. This means that for most of the year you can rely on the freshest, locally grown flowers in all my arrangements. Blooms that are put together to delight the senses and bring some of the ‘wild’ inside.
Spring means the arrival of stunning anemones, ranunculus, hellebores, pussy willow, cherry blossom, iris and swaying catkins. Living wreaths and decorative planters come alive with colourful bulbs, tucked in with moss, lichen-covered twigs, feathers and foraged treasures. Summer brings fragrant herbs such as rosemary, sage, oregano and mint, along with old-fashioned scented garden roses. Sumptuous scents are mixed with the fresh summer colours of larkspur, foxgloves, delphiniums, nigella and all sorts of wild flowers. Later, exuberent dahlias, bold and zesty rudbeckias, zinnias and sunflowers come to the fore. Autumn offers a feast for the senses. I love to incorporate blackberries and rosehips with richly coloured and textured foliages such as hornbeam, bracken, beech and unusual grasses. Winter designs can include the last of the hedgerow berries and vibrant hips, complemented by fragrant evergreens and pine cones. My stock of hand-dried flowers and seed heads add an architectural twist to festive wreaths and arrangements. |
Seasonal Hatboxes
Whatever the season, you can count on floral designs that are made with care and consideration for the environment and designed to bring you joy. |
Fleurs Anouk is passionate about protecting nature and producing beautiful floral designs that are as kind as possible to the planet.
Fresh flowers for arrangements are sourced from my own garden and from a network of trusted local flower growers in Cambridge and East Anglia and sometimes further afield in the UK for specialist flowers. Fleurs Anouk arrangements are supplemented with imported flowers only when absolutely necessary. Foraged materials are taken responsibly, and only with the landowner’s express permission. Fleurs Anouk is committed to using more home-grown flowers. I am currently enrolled on the RHS Level 2 Practical Horticulture course and planning a dedicated cut-flower patch. Fleurs Anouk is passionate about supporting pollinators and biodiversity. I never use toxic floral foam, and all arrangements are made with eco-friendly 'mechanics' such as chicken wire, twigs and branches, flower frogs, moss and biodegradable or re-usable containers. Fleurs Anouk farewell flowers are fully biodegradable and suitable for natural burial sites. Green waste is composted or recycled in green waste collections, and leftover plant materials are dried for use in arrangements. To support my customers' commitment to environmental care, Fleurs Anouk offers a service to collect and responsibly recycle funeral flowers and all winter wreaths. Fleurs Anouk is committed to using eco-friendly cleaning products and packaging in the workshop, and to responsible travel – working only at a reasonable distance from Cambridge.
